A love story between Muslim prince, Quli Qutb Shah and a Hindu temple dancer, Bhagmati, and their struggle to overcome the barriers of religion and social status to be together.

April 24th, we will present Bhagmati, a remarkable, true, 16th-century love story, which was a collaboration between Anuradha Nehru and Kishore Mosalikanti.

Our spring series will be primarily presented by Kalanidhi Company dancers Keerthana Adapa, Ritika Reddy, and Deviga Valiyil.

Women’s rights and gender equality are at the core of our beliefs. We are proud to conduct Eternal Spring in partnership with ASHA for women, an organization empowering South Asian women in the DC Metro area.

ASHA provides support to women living in abusive marriages and homes. Created to circumvent language, cultural, and social barriers that can stop many from seeking help, ASHA has helped hundreds of women and children move on to lead safer, happier lives. ASHA is an often invisible, but incredibly important, pillar of support for our local community.

We hope you will help us support their organization by making a donation in lieu of a ticket price. Link
